In the dynamic world of fashion, brand popularity can shift rapidly. Analysts from BusinessFinancing.co.uk recently delved into Google search data to identify the most sought-after consumer brands worldwide. Their findings revealed a surprising frontrunner: Crocs

Footwear brand Crocs emerged as the most popular fashion brand globally, garnering the top spot in 23 countries. With over 150 million pairs sold annually, Crocs has become a ubiquitous presence in the footwear market. Despite its initial reputation as a niche brand known for comfort rather than style, Crocs has evolved to become a fashion icon, boasting collaborations with luxury fashion house Balenciaga and a vibrant social media presence with millions of posts tagged #crocs on Instagram.

Following closely behind Crocs is New Balance, which rose to prominence in 18 countries. The brand’s resurgence in popularity is attributed to its innovative designs, collaborations with leading designers, and endorsements from celebrities and athletes, signaling a shift in consumer preferences towards more versatile and comfortable footwear options.

Luxury fashion conglomerate LVMH also experienced significant growth in popularity, ranking at the top in 14 countries. Known for its portfolio of high-quality brands and commitment to sustainability, LVMH continues to shape the global fashion landscape.

Additionally, Levi Strauss & Co. witnessed a surge in popularity in the US and the UK, driven by increasing demand for their classic denim styles.

The study, which analyzed Google search data from 2021 to 2023, highlights the evolving preferences of consumers in the fashion industry and underscores the importance of adaptability and innovation for brands seeking to maintain their competitive edge in the market.
