An Authentic Ankara material is smooth to touch and soft on the skin. They have good high resistance to damages. Their prints are made through an Indonesian wax-resist dyeing techniques called BATIK.So, such high standard print hardly scratches easily, if it is coarse, It is most likely fake. The easiest technique to spot a fancy/fake ankara is to dip it into water and squeeze. If the dye comes off, it is fake.
