Hunters euthanized the 9-year-old lion responsible for the tragic death of zookeeper Olabode Olawuyi at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). The lion was put down after sustaining a gunshot wound to one of its legs following the devastating incident that deeply affected many. Olawuyi, a 59-year-old veterinary technologist, had been caring for the lion since it was a cub.
