All other protocols duly observed.
I welcome you all to the official launch of Delonifera Tv.
My name is High Chief Bamidele Maroof Onifade, CEO of Delonifera Tv. DELONIFERA TV is an age-long dream of mine. It is borne out of my passion for entertainment.
From my tender age, I have loved entertainment and after many years of working abroad, I returned to the country to do what I loved so much which is entertainment, focusing on the Film Industry.
My thirst for good movies is second to none, and this influenced the quality of movies produced.
Instead of criticizing movies, we are here to correct those mistakes starting from content, casting, shooting, welfarism and so on. We are not perfect and there is definitely room for improvement because we strive for perfection.
I will like to take us down memory lane to when the theatre practice started; people of significance that have made exceptional impact in their evergreen movies like:
• Late Chief Hubert Adedeji Ogunde – Aye, Jaiyesinmi and Ayanmoeda etc.
• Moses Olaiya, popularly known as Baba Sala -Orunmooru, Mosebolatan, Obee Gbona.
• Baba Ade Love whose real name is Late Adeyemi Afolayan- Ija Ominira, Taxi Driver, Ija Orogun and others.
• Late Baba Duro Ladipo – the brain behind Oba koso, Moremi Ajasoro, Oba Waja and others
• Late Oyin Adejobi also did movies like Orogun Adedigba, Kootu Asipa – a weekly television show on NTA Ibadan, and Ekuro Oloja, just to mention but a few.
• Late Alhaji Yekinni Ajileye and his movies Opa Aje, Koto Aiye, Koto Orun, Ipadabo Abija.
• Late Dr I-Sho Pepper with the real name Olusola Isola Ogunsola– Iyawo Alalubosa, Efunsetan Aniwura, Ahon amongst others.
Of recent, we have had reputable movies like
• Saworoide by Tunde Kelani,
• Ti Oluwa N’ile– released in 1993 by Mainframe films and television production – Tunde Kelani’s debut film as a movie Director,
• Efunsetan Aniwura also directed by Tunde Kelani and produced by Akintunde Ayeni,
• Apesin by Adebayo Tijani.
Meanwhile, I also recognize people who continue to make impact in the movie industry like, but not limited to:
• Sir Tunde Kelani (Saworoide, Oleku),
• Baba Eda Lere Paimo (Eda Onileola, Ogbori Elemosho),
• Baba Jimoh Aliu (Igbo Eledumare- produced by Abija Wara, Igbo Irunmole, Irinkinrindo, Arelu (a film that produced characters reckoned with till date such as Fadeyi Oloro, Orisabunmi, Aworo and others),
• Baba Wande (Ti Oluwa N’ile, Arugba, Obukodudu) and so on.
I would not want to bore you. But there is no how we will talk about the movie industry without first paying homage to them.
In addition, Baba Ifayemi, Alhaji Yinka Quadri, Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), Bolaji Amusan (Latin), Alhaji Taiwo Hassan, Jide Kosoko and every other person time will not permit me to mention, have also been doing an excellent job.
So far, we have many original contents. While some were acquired, we equally produced some movies too. And with these movies in our stock, we have invariably impacted a lot of lives positively.
Our vision is to shoot and stream good movies. If you share this vision with us, our door is open. We are open to working with filmmakers. We will like to share ideas with you and put movies together. With our experience and collaboration in the industry, we can take the African movie industry to the next level.
During the course of our short stay in the entertainment industry, there are a few challenges we have noticed, some of which will be briefly addressed.
• We need to master the act of telling our stories and structuring it.
• Attention should be paid to the business aspect of movie making. We should always strategize on how to get returns on our investment.
• We should not strive to make movies the Western way. Quality movies should be made the African way and it should reflect our identity.
Some solutions were identified and we are working to ensure the identified challenges are duly resolved in due course.
People think Yoruba movies are substandard, but let us correct that impression. You will get to see movies made in English and Yoruba on our platform. Very soon French and other languages voice acting will be added to our movies.

Let us work together in this industry because it is our profession, it is our business and it is also our investment. Delonifera Company Limited is highly interested in investing, and I am sure it will be a win-win situation for us all.
Asides content, we are open to grooming talents. If you are talented, you can follow us on our social media platforms and tag us on your videos that you upload. If we find them interesting, we will definitely reach out to you
On a final note, I commend everyone that worked with Delonifera Company Limited to ensure that this event is a success.
Remember I mentioned a few people earlier…they are not alive but their works live after them.
Let us ask ourselves this question. As an individual in this movie industry, will my work live after me?
Thank you and God Bless.
