“They overlooked the bodies of their fellow countrymen”: Sani mourns for the North, draws parallels between the leadership eras of Tinubu and Buhari.

Former Nigerian Senator Shehu Sani has expressed concern about the prevailing insecurity in the northern part of the country. Sani highlighted the silence of many northern politicians during the period of killings under former President Muhammadu Buhari and their current vocal stance now that Bola Tinubu, a southern president, has taken over. The former senator alleged that over 63,111 individuals lost their lives during the immediate past administration. Sani emphasized that some prominent figures in the north remained silent during Buhari’s eight-year tenure, defending him instead of addressing the truth.
