Fashion Trust U.S. Celebrates 2024 Winners at Star-Studded L.A. Event

Fashion Trust U.S., the nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting emerging design talent, recently announced its 2024 winners during a glamorous event held at a private residence in Los Angeles. Hosted by Zooey Deschanel, the evening honored notable names in the fashion industry and showcased the outstanding achievements of the recipients.

The awards ceremony featured categories such as ready-to-wear, jewelry, accessories, and recent graduates, with special recognition given to inclusivity and sustainability initiatives. Winners received a combined total of nearly $500,000 in funding to further their endeavors and advance their contributions to the fashion world.

The finalists and winners were carefully selected by a distinguished panel of industry experts, including board members Tania Fares, Laura Brown, Karla Welch, Tan France, Maha Dakhil, and Anne Crawford, with support from presenting sponsor Shop with Google. Additionally, advisory members, including renowned designers Maria Cornejo, Phillip Lim, and Isabel Marant, contributed to the decision-making process.

Among the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the Inclusivity Award, sponsored by Shop with Google, which recognized Ashley Harris of Don’t Let Disco for her innovative collection of handcrafted beaded jewelry. Cynthia Erivo presented the Jewelry Award to MoAnA Luu of ManLuu, while Isabel Marant awarded the Accessories Award to Esha Soni for her exceptional brand of made-in-India heirloom bags.

Other notable winners included Yamil Arbaje, who received the Graduate Award sponsored by St. John, and Batsheva Hay, who was honored with the Sustainability Award for her trailblazing work in promoting eco-friendly fashion practices.

The event culminated with the announcement of the Ready-to-Wear Award, presented to Harbison Studio by Da’Vine Joy Randolph and stylists Wayman and Micah. Charles Harbison’s glamorous womenswear brand has gained acclaim for its distinctive aesthetic and celebrity clientele.

Each winner was presented with a trophy designed by jewelry designer Nigora Tokhtabayeva of Tabayer, symbolizing their creative achievements and contributions to the fashion industry. The Fashion Trust U.S. continues to champion emerging talent and provide essential support to designers, ensuring a vibrant and dynamic future for fashion.
